Media Badges
Image Design
Most academics are trained to work with words; skills for creating and editing images are typically not on the resume. It's often easier to convey an abstract concept with words, but images help convey emotions, tell stories, and illustrate processes. Badge earners will be (better) able to use PhotoShop or other image editing software to create a poster. Audio Podcast
Video may dominate the media spectrum, but radios let us listen to music, news, or a talk show while our eyes concentrate on something else. Badge earners will be (better) able to use Audacity or other sound editing software to produce an episode for an audio podcast. Video Narrative
The rich medium of video lets you combine moving images with an audio track. It's probably most-consumed medium and the hardest to produce. Badge earners will be (better) able to use Premiere or other video editing software to produce a video narrative.
